Kakar honors the martyrs of the Kashmiri independence movement

MUZAFFARABAD: Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, traveled to Yadgar-e-Shuhada on Thursday to honor the martyrs who gave their lives in the Jammu and Kashmir liberation struggle.

At Yadgar-e-Shuhada, he placed a floral wreath and presented fateha.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police presented a smart contingent as the guard of honor for Caretaker PM Kakar.

Prior to his two-day visit, Prime Minister AJK Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq welcomed the prime minister when he arrived.

His visit is an act of support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir in light of the Indian Supreme Court’s affirmation of India’s illegal and unilateral action pertaining to the region’s status.

Subsequently, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Latif Akbar and Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq of Azad Jammu and Kashmir paid a visit to the acting premier in Muzaffarabad.
