Karachi fishermen become millionaires overnight after catching rare fish

A local fisherman from Karachi, Hanif Katiyar, from the coastal village of Kharo Chan, became a millionaires by catching more than 300 rare Sowa fish.

The rare Sowa fish caught near Katy Bandar is worth millions bringing joy to the fishermen and crew.

Earlier, local fishermen from the coastal city of Gwadar in Balochistan accidentally caught a rare ‘sunfish’. Gwadar fishermen were surprised at what was accidentally caught in his net on Friday. Fishermen caught a rare species of fish called ‘sunfish’.

Experts say that sunfish are often found in the deep sea and weigh more than 2 tons.

In July 2021, a fisherman caught a rare fish, locally known as Sowa, weighing 26 kg from Jiwani Beach in Balochistan. According to details, the fish fetched Rs676,000 at an auction in a local fish market.
