Lahore man arrested for illegally wearing SSG Commando shirt

LAHORE: Punjab police have arrested a person who was roaming around illegally wearing an SSG commando shirt in the provincial capital of Lahore.

According to the report, Patrolling Officer Mohammad Zeeshan stopped a motorcyclist near old Anarkali for a traffic violation and demanded documents for issuing a challan.

The motorcyclist then enraged and claimed to be an agent of an intelligence agency. The accused, however, was turned over to the police station in old Anarkali for additional legal proceedings after he was unable to provide his identification.

Amara Athar, the Chief Traffic Officer, presented the certificates of appreciation for the on-duty officer’s outstanding work.

CTO Lahore said that apart from keeping an eye on suspicious persons, the wardens are closely monitoring the flow of traffic.
