Lahore weather forecast amid Solar Eclipse; Weather expected to remain dry in the city

LAHORE: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday said that the weather in Lahore is expected to be hot and dry from today.  According to the Met Office, the intensity of heat is likely to last in several areas of Lahore till April 10 — which is expected to be the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.

Weather Forecast for Monday (Day)

Mainly dry weather is expected in most districts of the Punjab province, while hot/partly cloudy in southern districts. Dry weather is likely in Kashmir, Murree, Galliyat and surrounding.

Weather Forecast for Tuesday

Mainly dry/partly cloudy weather is expected in most districts of the province, while hot/dust raising winds is likely in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahimyar Khan and surrounding areas. Dry/partly cloudy weather is likely in Kashmir, Murree, Galliyat and surrounding.

Last 24 Hours Weather

Light rain-wind/thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Murree and Rawalakot. While weather remained dry in Kashmir and all other districts of the Punjab province.

Lahore weather forecast amid Solar Eclipse

The 2024 solar eclipse will cause a brief darkening of the sky in its path on Monday, April 8.

Beginning at 20:48 PST, there will be a partial solar eclipse; the entire eclipse will begin at 21:38 PST, and the maximum eclipse will occur at 23:17 PST.

The partial eclipse will end at 01:52 PST on April 9 and the total eclipse at 00:55 PST, according to the Met Office.

From the West, observers in Europe, North America, South America, the Pacific, the Atlantic, and the Arctic will be able to see the first solar eclipse of 2024.

The solar eclipse will not be visible in Pakistan.
