Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé made an amazing performance, helping his team upset Real Sociedad 2-1 and win the Champions League 4-1 overall. PSG will now go to the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Mbappé, who is close to leaving PSG, showcased his exceptional skills by scoring the first goal of both half.

PSG benefited from counterattacks right away, as Mbappé’s breakneck speed posed a continual threat. The French captain’s influence was evident as he scored 11 of PSG’s previous 15 goals in the Champions League knockout round. Mbappé said, “We knew right away that we couldn’t go to sleep,” in reflection on the game. They would have continued with the support of their supporters if they had taken the lead.”

With a long feed from Ousmane Dembele, Mbappé’s first goal came in the fifteenth minute, showing off his flair as he curled the ball into the far corner. The Reale Arena was completely silent, mesmerized by Mbappé’s skill and vision. His second goal sealed PSG’s victory in the 56th minute as he coolly finished a feed from Lee Kang-in.

Real Sociedad made an effort to rally in the second half, but Mbappé’s skill and PSG’s disciplined defense were too strong for them to overcome. Luis Enrique, the coach of PSG, lauded Mbappé’s deadly skills and emphasized the need to dash the hopes of the home team early in the contest.

Real Sociedad found it difficult to match PSG’s intensity as they dealt with injuries and a recent decline in performance. Mikel Merino’s late consolation goal in the 89th minute was unable to change the result, as PSG earned a well-earned trip to the Champions League quarterfinals.
