New Passport fee structure in Pakistan March 2024; Check details

LAHORE: Through the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, the Pakistani government issues passports to its residents in order to expedite their travels and offer them protection while they are outside. A 36-page passport typically costs Rs 3,000.

The passport is the sole document that can be used to prove a Pakistani citizen’s identity abroad. For citizens who fulfill the conditions, the directorate processes the applications and issues passports.

Where to Apply For New Pakistan Passport?

If a citizen is applying for a travel document for the first time and they currently reside in Pakistan, they must go to the Regional Passport Office.

Steps to follow for New Passport Application

In order to receive the new Machine Readable Passport (MRP), the applicant must complete the following procedures at Pakistani Regional Passport Offices:

the applicant’s arrival at the customer service desk.

Fee Verification + Picture Capturing + Issuing of Tokens

Biometrics: capturing fingerprints.

Data Input.

Verification according to the office file. (BL/ECL)

Assistant Director Interview and Decision.

Update on Fee Structure for New Passport March 2024:

There will be no changes to the application fees for the new passport as of March 2024. The whole list of fees for getting a new passport is as follows:
