LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced new school timings for public and private schools in all cities of Punjab, including Lahore. The new timings will come into effect after Eidul Fitr 2024.
During the holy month of Ramadan 2024, authorities have reduced the hours for educational institutions. During Ramadan, the morning shift was set from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM from Monday to Thursday. On Friday, the school timings were from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm during Ramadan. For second-shift schools, classes start at 1 pm and were scheduled to end at 4 pm.
The Education Department has now changed school timings after the end of Ramadan. After the end of the Eid holidays on April 13, all schools across the province will reopen on April 15 (Monday).

Federal and provincial governments have announced public holidays on the account of Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 from April 10 to 13.
After Eid, the boys’ school will commence at 8:30 pm and will conclude at 2;30 pm. Meanwhile, girls’ schools will open at 8:15 am and the door will be closed at 2:15 pm.
On Fridays, classes in boys’ schools will be held from 8:30 to 12:15 pm, while girls’ school timings will finish at 12 pm.
