Pakistan committed to strong and peaceful relations with Afghanistan: Tahir Ashrafi

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Allama Tahir Ashrafi has said that Pakistan has made every effort to establish better relations and peace with Afghanistan, however, Afghan authorities should realize the seriousness of this.

In his statement, he said that the Afghan Taliban should not be used by any external force, including Israel and India, as it will have negative effects on the region. He said that Pakistan has always supported the Afghan people and provided them with support in difficult times.

He said that their refuge was Pakistan, if they fight with Pakistan, they will not find shelter anywhere in the world. Allama Tahir Ashrafi warned that if a confrontation is carried out against Pakistan, the consequences will be serious, the two countries should improve relations and promote mutual respect.

He further demanded that the state of Pakistan also take action against the alleged facilitators of the Afghan Taliban so that the internal peace and stability of the country can be ensured. He said that no compromise can be made on national security and sovereignty.
