Pervez Elahi granted protective bail in corruption case

The Lahore High Court has approved the protective bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central President and former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi till May 15.

The court barred authorities from arresting Pervez Elahi and directed him to submit a surety bond of 1 lac. Former CM Punjab was moved for protective bail in the Lahore High Court in the case filed in Ghalib Market Police Station, Lahore.

Justice Asjad Javed Gharal heard the petition of Ch Pervez Elahi. Elahi’s lawyer said that the protective bail was approved by LHC in the anti-corruption case.

During the hearing, the court orders Pervez Elahi’s lawyer that file a bail application again if any other new case is registered against your client.  Later, LHC granted Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi protective bail till May 15 and stopped his immediate arrest.
