Ramadan 2024: When is Holy Month starting in Gulf countries?

Since Ramadan is the most important month for believers, Muslims in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other Gulf nations are ready to celebrate it in 2024.

The International Astronomical Center predicts that Islamic countries will see the crescent moon this month during Ramadan. The moon will be seen on March 10, 2024 On Sunday.

Predictions indicate that Saudi Arabia and other nations are anticipated to mark the first day of Ramadan on Monday, March 11. According to scientific criteria for crescent sighting, there is little chance of seeing the crescent on March 10.

Additionally, reports stated that on March 10, the crescent will not be visible in the Arab and Islamic worlds. As a result, other nations are probably going to observe Ramadan on Tuesday, March 12.

In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ramadan holds immense religious and cultural importance. Most people observe it with great regard and devotion. During the month-long fast, one should engage in acts of charity, spiritual meditation, and prayer.

The Gulf countries come alive during Ramadan, with streets teeming with bustle, particularly in the evenings as people get ready for iftar, the breaking of fast. Worshippers swarm mosques for Taraweeh, the special evening prayers during which passages from the Quran are recited.
