BANNU: Section 144 will be in effect until February 19 as part of rigorous measures implemented by the district administration of Bannu to address security issues. The regulation forbids holding corner meetings without prior authorization, wearing tinted glasses, or displaying weapons in public.

This comes after a slew of terrorist incidents that occurred last month in the area that targeted security forces. One such instance took place at Tank’s Police Line, where attackers and security guards engaged in a ceaseless six-hour gunfight.

There has been a successful counterattack against terrorists inside the police line zone, according to recent reports from the local media. Three terrorists were eliminated as a result of security officers’ courageous and intense confrontation. A rapid combined effort including security and police personnel surrounded the targeted area.

Sadly, three brave police officers died while performing their duties, while three more were injured. The security forces are conducting ongoing clearance operations to guarantee the area’s security and get rid of any last dangers. In spite of these obstacles, authorities are working hard to protect public safety, and the district is still on high alert.
