TURBAT: Security forces successfully thwarted a terrorist attack at Pakistan Naval Station, PNS Siddique in Balochistan’s Turbat city on the night of March 25/26, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the military’s media wing, the swift and effective response by the troops foiled the terrorist attack, killing all four terrorists and ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets at Pakistan Naval Station Siddique.
“Security forces in the vicinity were immediately mobilized to support the naval troops. A synergetic & effective response by the armed forces enabled the killing of all four terrorists in the ensuing joint clearance operation,” the statement reads.

However, during an intense fire exchange, the 24-year-old Sepoy Noman Fareed (resident of Muzaffargarh) of Frontier Corps Balochistan, embraced martyrdom while fighting gallantly, it added.
Furthermore, ISPR said, a sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. Pakistan Armed Forces remain committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country at all costs, it said.
The attack comes almost a week after a group of gunmen stormed the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) colony with security forces acting swiftly and foiling the fierce attack. The ISPR said, security personnel responded immediately and effectively engaged the terrorists, and in the ensuing fire exchange, all eight terrorists were eliminated.
