ISLAMABAD: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Islamabad’s F-9 park by an acquaintance, according to the girl’s mother.
In the statement that the victim’s mother filed with the police on March 16, it is said that her daughter went to her friend’s house.
The victim’s mother stated in the police report, “She came home crying and told me that her friend’s brother took her to F-9 park on his motorcycle and raped her.”
The mother of the girl filed a complaint, and the Margalla Police Station opened a case and began an investigation.
Due to the presence of robbers and abusers who prey on and harass women and men who walk through F-9 Park, the area has been declared off-limits to the general public.
According to police statistics, a total of 37 occurrences, including the murder of a private food delivery company manager and the rape of six girls and women, have been reported in the last year.
