MUMBAI: On his 36th birthday, former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli melted hearts with a rare family photo.

The photo shared by his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, shows Kohli enjoying a happy moment with both his daughter, Vamika, and newborn son, Akay. This is the first time fans have seen Kohli with both his children in the same picture.

Virat and Anushka’s relationship are widely admired. After years of dating, the star couple tied the knot in 2017 in a private but dreamy destination wedding in Italy. Their daughter, Vamika, was born in January 2021, followed by their son, Akay, in February 2024. The duo consciously chose to keep their children out of the public eye, and fans have only seen brief glimpses of Vamika before, thanks to a camera shot during a cricket match.

The Instagram post, shared by Anushka with her followers, shows Kohli holding Vamika in one arm while she is carried in a baby carriage. Sticking to their decision of privacy, the couple used heart emojis on the children’s faces while remaining anonymous.

Fans have flooded social media with love and appreciation for the photo, praising Kohli’s determination as an iconic player and a devoted father. The post has received thousands of likes and shares, with fans delighted by this small but special glimpse into the family’s private world.
