Farhan Saeed has made headlines after drawing an interesting comparison between veteran actress Saba Hameed and late Bollywood icon Amrish Puri during a recent interview.

The Farhan Saeed Saba Hameed comparison came while the actor appeared on a talk show hosted by Maliha Rehman, where he reflected on his memorable experience working with Saba Hameed in the hit drama Mere Humsafar.

Speaking about her acting range, Farhan said Saba Hameed possesses the rare ability to portray negative roles with remarkable ease. He noted that a strong antagonist often strengthens the hero’s character, adding that the audience connected deeply with his role as Hamza because Tai Jaan’s harsh treatment of Hala created emotional intensity throughout the story.

Farhan revealed that after the massive success of Mere Humsafar, he personally thanked Saba Hameed by kissing her hands, acknowledging her contribution to the drama’s popularity. He praised her for making every scene believable and said very few actors can bring such depth to a villainous role.

Comparing her to Amrish Puri, Farhan highlighted how the legendary Indian actor became unforgettable for his iconic antagonist characters in films such as Mr. India. According to Farhan, Saba Hameed holds a similar command over negative characters in Pakistani television.

The actor also shared that he is once again working alongside Saba Hameed in the upcoming drama Bas Tera Saath Ho, where she will be seen emotionally tormenting his character, promising another intense on-screen dynamic for viewers.
