Here’s what we know about Deepika-Ranveer’s wedding so far

We know, we know! This is super exciting – three weddings this year that have kept us on our toes; Sonam-Anand, Prince Harry-Meghan and now Deepika-Ranveer.

Now that #Deepveer have publicly announced their wedding dates, 14th and 15th of November. Here are a few details about their wedding you probably didn’t know.

Date
Did you know the couple chose to wed on 15th November because that’s when their first film together Ram Leela released (in 2013), and also when they started dating? Yep. Now you know.

Locations
The two will be flying off to Lake Como, Italy for the wedding nuptials. Only family and friends have been invited, the guest list consists of approximately 30 people only. “A Delhi-based wedding planner has been roped for the shaadi which will be preceded by the sangeet on November 13,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.

Filmfare has also reported that the couple plan on hosting a grand reception in Mumbai after they return from their Italy wedding. “Ranveer and Deepika are extremely happy and excited for their big day. As decided, their Italy wedding will be a private affair with a guest list including only their families and close set of friends. Soon after they return from Italy, Ranveer and Deepika will be hosting a lavish wedding reception for all their industry friends in Mumbai on December 1. Grand Hyatt has been picked as the reception venue and everyone from Bollywood is expected to be present,” a source told the publication.

Ceremony
To represent both sides, one day will be in-accordance to South Indian rites owing to Deepika’s roots and the other, North Indian rites as per Ranveer’s.

Clothes
Though there has been no official announcement about who will design Deeps wedding attire, but we all know Sabyasachi is the actor’s all time favourite designer and there’s a high possibility he will be handling the bride’s clothes.

No phones/media
As per DNA, the couple want a phone-free wedding.

A source was quoted as having said, “They have asked guests to not bring their cell phones to the ceremony. Considering the fact that it will be a destination wedding, there will be fewer people and all the arrangements will be in place. While the two, in all likelihood, will share pictures with their fans eventually, they hope this step will help them guard their privacy.”

Honeymoon
The two will go for a short honeymoon post their wedding, not sure where though. A source told Mumbai Mirror, “The couple will head for a brief honeymoon before Ranveer dives into the promotions of Simmba which opens on December 28.”
