One of the most anticipated TV dramas this year is Haseeb Hasan’s Alif that will mark Hamza Ali Abbasi’s return to TV since Mann Mayal.

Of course, Hamza isn’t the only actor whose appearance we should get excited about. Alif also stars Ahsan Khan, Kubra Khan, Sajal Aly and Noman Ijaz in pivotal roles.

Hanging out on the sets of Alif, we learned that Kubra Khan will be playing the role of Husn-e-Jahan, “funnily enough, she is Hamza Ali Abbasi’s mother.”

Kubra Khan as Dil Jahan, a ’70s star
Kubra says her character is an actor from the ’70s in this TV drama. “She’s a great, great soul. The drama shows a beautiful journey of this woman growing through a rollercoaster [of ups and downs in life]. That’s why I love this character and really hope I can do justice to it.”

Will she appear in a flashback to the past? We hope so!
