Internet sensation Mona Lisa signs first ever Bollywood film

NEW DHELI: Mona Lisa Bhonsale, a 16 yearl old girl from India’s Uttar Pradesh state, who went viral on social media due to her captivating facial features and innocence has signed her first ever Bollywood movie.

According to the Indian media, Mona was approached by Bollywood director Sunoj Mishra where he visted Mona’s village in Madhya Pradesh to meet her and her family, where discussions about her debut film took place.

According to the sources, the title of the film is ‘The Diary of Manipur and the shooting of the film will begin in February 2025.

Mishra went on to explain that Bhonsale was very “simple and innocent, as also her family, but since she is pretty young and the preparations to groom her according to the role would be made.

The film would have glimpses about the life and culture of northeastern state Manipur, while the selection had marked her entry into Bollywood.

Earlier, Mona Lisa become a viral sensation after a video of her selling garlands on the ghats at the Kumbh Mela festival in Prayagraj city of Uttar Pradesh state went crazy on social media.

With her enriching smile, deep eyes, warm brown skin, and unique style of speaking, drew attention of several journalist, famous Bollywood directors and producers at the Maha Kumbh Mela.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see Mona on a bigger screen and are hoping that the groomed version on Mona would not damage her innocent and bubbly personality.
