Petition filed in court against obscene content on TikTok

PESHAWAR: A local citizen has filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) seeking action against the promotion of obscene content in Pashto language on TikTok.

As per the details, the petitioner claimed that TikTok live sessions feature indecent conversations in Pashto to increase viewership, which has harmful effects on society. The petition stated that such acts are against social values and norms.

The petitioner urged the court to take action against TikTok’s management and the content creators involved.
