LAHORE: The Punjab Council of the Arts has banned seven stage artists for violating government SOPs. Officials issued an official notification confirming the action.

The two-week ban starts for actresses Hira Lal, Noori Shehzad, Rukhsana Multani and Anchal Khan. Um Chaudhry and Feroza Jatti also face a two-week suspension.

The council reported that the artists performed their stage shows without following SOP rules, which they had been warned about multiple times.

The officials implemented this decision to ensure they would keep order while they implemented government regulations.

The Punjab Council stated that all future violators of SOPs will receive harsh punishment according to their established regulations. The ban serves as proof that the government wants to uphold its theatrical standards through stage performances.
