ISLMABAD: Renowned host, writer, and social media influencer Reham Khan has taken a bold stance against societal criticism regarding the age difference in her marriage. In a recent appearance on Hafiz Ahmed’s podcast, she addressed the issue head-on, highlighting the double standards that exist in society’s perception of age-gap relationships.

Known for her distinguished career in international media as a weather reporter and later as a prominent Pakistani news anchor, Reham Khan rose to prominence following her marriage to former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi, in 2014. Despite the marriage not lasting long, Reham Khan continued to carve her path in the media industry.

In December 2022, Reham Khan embarked on a new chapter in her personal life by tying the knot with Mirza Bilal. However, her marriage to a younger man has faced criticism from some quarters.

Responding to this criticism, Reham Khan eloquently pointed out the hypocrisy in society’s treatment of age-gap relationships, especially when it comes to women. “Why don’t they criticize men for marrying younger women?” she questioned, highlighting her previous marriages to men significantly older than her.

Furthermore, Reham Khan emphasized the importance of gender equality in marriage, stating that she does not condone men having multiple marriages simultaneously. She made it clear that if her husband were to seek another marriage, he would have to do so after leaving her, a decision she made after thoroughly reviewing the divorce papers.
