GUJRANWALA: As per reports, a Siberian Husky pet dog of former Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Nida Dar has been stolen from outside her house in Gujranwala.
Nida Dar said that some unidentified people took away her canine without her knowledge. The incident was depressing for her, and she appealed for the safe return of her pet. She urged the authorities to take the matter seriously.
The former cricket star, widely recognized for her contributions to Pakistan women’s cricket, hoped that her stolen dog would be recovered soon.
Local police then said they were investigating the theft. A spokesperson from the police said initial inquiries were being made and checks were being conducted in the surrounding areas. The police are also going through whatever information is available to identify those guilty of the crime.
They said officials take the cases of stolen pets, especially when complaints are filed in time. They said all possible measures are being taken to trace and safely return the dog.
The incident has again raised concerns for residential security, and community thefts are on the rise. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
Nida Dar thanked her “for support and faith in the police”. She also urged people to come forward with any information that might help recover her stolen pet.
