14 important features in Apple’s iOS 26.2

Apple is set to release iOS 26.2, its second major update for the iPhone. The update includes fifteen major changes and improvements that will improve the user experience.

  • Better management of safety and emergency alerts

A new section has been added to Settings, making earthquake and hazard alerts more organized and effective.

  •  Monitoring unsaved passwords

A new list has been added to the Passwords app, allowing the user to keep track of websites where passwords have not been saved.

  • Setting a glass clock on the lock screen

A new slider has been added to display the time on the lock screen, allowing you to adjust the transparency and opacity as needed.

  • Sending files to non-contacts

With iOS 26.2, files can now be sent to people who aren’t in your contacts, and the code will be valid for 30 days.

  • View lyrics of songs offline

Now you can view song lyrics in the music app even without an internet connection.

  • Better sleep assessment

Sleep classification can be assessed more accurately under the new scale, to better describe sleep quality.

  • Automatic chapters in podcast apps

The Podcasts app will now automatically generate episode chapters, and links to other podcasts will also be usable in the transcript.

  •  Alarm for reminder

The reminder app has now added an emergency alarm. You will not only get a notification at the specified time, but also a sound alert.

  • Light on alerts

Now the screen will also light up when a notification is received, making the information immediate and clear.

  • Fast access to news

Categories in the news app will be displayed in the form of buttons so that the user can easily access different topics.

  • Order of games

Games can now also be sorted by file size, which is helpful in freeing up space.

  • Messages in CarPlay

The new Messages view on CarPlay is configurable to provide a simpler interface while driving.

  • Multitasking on the iPad

Apps can now be dragged and opened in split view or slide over, making multitasking easier.

  • Useful changes to the user interface

Several small user interface and animation improvements have been added that improve the overall experience.
