Data Darbar Itikaf applications open for Muslims who wish to observe Itikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan. The administration has announced that applications will be accepted until 29th Shaban.

Applicants are required to submit a copy of their national identity card, a medical certificate, and verification from their local police station. In addition, passport-size photographs must be attached with the application.

The Punjab Auqaf Department has set up a dedicated counter inside the Data Darbar premises to receive all applications. Officials emphasized that submissions will only be accepted through this counter to maintain an organized process.

Once applications are received, they will be sent to the Special Branch for security clearance. Only those who receive approval from the Special Branch will be allowed to sit in Itikaf at Data Darbar. Authorities urged applicants to ensure all documents are complete to avoid delays or rejection.

This year, the Data Darbar administration has reinforced security measures to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for worshippers. The process reflects careful planning, allowing devotees to focus on spiritual activities during Ramadan’s final and most sacred days.

Officials encouraged early submission, reminding applicants that incomplete documentation or missing approvals may result in disqualification. The special counter inside Data Darbar will continue to facilitate applications until the Shaban deadline, ensuring smooth processing for everyone interested in observing Itikaf.

The announcement has been welcomed by local devotees, who consider Itikaf at Data Darbar a significant spiritual experience during Ramadan.
