Islamabad: The Durust Daam App has stopped showing updated prices during Ramadan, creating problems for citizens who depend on official rates.
Users in Islamabad reported an “Invalid Response from Server” error. This message appears when people try to open the application to check fruit and vegetable prices. Ramadan is a time when families closely watch daily expenses due to higher food use.
Officials from the National Information Technology Board said the system is working properly. They explained that the issue happened because new price data was not uploaded by the district administration.
Because of this problem, citizens cannot compare official and market rates. They also cannot file complaints about overpricing through the system.
The Durust Daam App was launched in October 2019. Its purpose was to improve price transparency and help control unfair price increases. The app has been downloaded thousands of times and is considered important, especially during Ramadan.
The current issue has raised concerns about coordination between departments. Consumers are now waiting for the service to be restored so they can again monitor official prices.
