Explosion damages Jewish school in Amsterdam early Saturday morning, causing limited damage to the building. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident.

According to officials in Amsterdam, the blast happened in a residential area on the southern side of the city. Police and firefighters quickly reached the scene after the explosion.

Mayor Femke Halsema described the incident as a deliberate attack against the Jewish community. She said the act appears to target Jewish institutions in the city.

The explosion damages Jewish school in Amsterdam but authorities said the building only suffered minor structural damage. Emergency teams secured the area to prevent further risk.

Security at Jewish sites in the Netherlands had already been increased earlier. This followed an overnight arson attack on a synagogue in Rotterdam a day before the Amsterdam blast.

Officials said police are investigating whether the incidents are connected.

Earlier this week, another explosion caused a fire at a synagogue in Liège in Belgium. Authorities across the region are now closely monitoring security around Jewish institutions.

Mayor Halsema strongly condemned the attack. She said such acts of violence against Jewish residents are unacceptable and must be stopped.

Local authorities said investigations are ongoing and more details will be shared as the inquiry continues.
