Israel rejected the Security Council’s demand for a pause in the war.

On behalf of the European country Malta, a resolution was presented to the UN Security Council demanding humanitarian breaks and corridors in Gaza during several days.

In the resolution, 40 days after the Israeli attacks, the UN Security Council has demanded a humanitarian pause in the war in Gaza, which received 12 votes in favor, while the United States, Britain and Russia did not participate in the voting.

The resolution presented by Malta also calls for the opening of aid corridors to deliver aid to civilians in the besieged area.

Apart from this, there was also a demand for the immediate release of the hostages held by Hamas.
