Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has announced a KP CM Development Package worth Rs. 200 billion for Hazara Division. The decision aims to strengthen infrastructure and boost tourism in the region.

The announcement was made during a meeting at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House with parliamentarians from Hazara. Lawmakers discussed the upcoming Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the province.

During the session, representatives requested the federal government to dualize the Haripur–Mansehra GT Road, managed by the National Highway Authority (NHA). Afridi said the provincial government will also provide financial support to speed up this project and improve connectivity.

Out of the total package, Rs. 50 billion has been reserved for tourism development. The chief minister emphasized promoting Hazara’s tourism potential to create new opportunities for the local population.

Afridi instructed elected representatives to hold a separate meeting to recommend additional projects for the special package. He also announced that Allai will be upgraded to a separate district.

The KP CM said that the next fiscal year’s ADP will focus on large-scale projects, timely completion of ongoing schemes, and maximum direct benefit to the public. PC-1 documents for proposed projects will be prepared before finalizing the ADP, with special attention to underdeveloped districts.

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the KP Assembly, along with National and Provincial Assembly members from Hazara Division.
