Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has announced the launch of Oxford scholarships for Pakistani women, a new program aimed at supporting higher education for women from Pakistan. The scholarships will provide full financial backing for Pakistani women pursuing a Master’s degree or higher at the University of Oxford.

Malala shared the news on social media, emphasizing her commitment to helping young women achieve their academic dreams. She said that after completing her own studies at Oxford, she felt a responsibility to support girls who face barriers to education.

The initiative, introduced in partnership with the Oxford Pakistan Programme, is open to women who want to study at Oxford and use their education to make positive changes in Pakistan. Eligible candidates can apply through the official Oxford Pakistan Programme website.

Reflecting on her journey, Malala recalled being denied schooling at age 11 when local schools were closed. She said she never wanted her story to be unique or the only one. Instead, she hopes this scholarship will give many girls the opportunity to fulfill their potential.

The program offers complete financial coverage, including tuition, living expenses, and other study-related costs. Malala expressed her hope that a new generation of Pakistani women scholars will emerge, equipped with the knowledge and skills to contribute to society and help their country progress.

Through this initiative, Malala aims to ensure that talented Pakistani women have access to world-class education. She encouraged all eligible candidates to apply and highlighted the transformative impact education can have on individuals and communities.

By opening these opportunities, the Oxford scholarships for Pakistani women initiative continues Malala’s lifelong mission of promoting education for girls and empowering them to shape their own futures.
