No power in the world can spoil the relations between Iran and Pakistan, said Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday.
“The goal of the entire Muslim Ummah is Palestine’s freedom. “The Iranian revolution is far from over,” he said during his speech at Karachi’s Chief Minister’s House.
The University of Karachi bestowed an honorary doctorate on Raisi.
The Iranian president landed in Karachi on Tuesday after completing his Lahore trip where he visited Mazar-i-Iqbal and met with the province’s governor and chief minister.
At the airport in Karachi, the Iranian president was welcomed by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Kamran Tessori.
To prevent “inconvenience to the general public” during the foreign dignitaries’ visit, the city’s administration has declared a local holiday and deployed thousands of police officers throughout the city.
Raisi visited the tomb of the Quaid and went to the University of Karachi to see the conferment of an honorary doctorate on him by the varsity.

Raisi arrived in Pakistan on Monday for three days. He had traveled to Lahore and Karachi. Yesterday, he visited Lahore. Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz received him at the Allama Iqbal International Airport. His visit is the first of its kind by any head of state after the February 8 general elections.
