Pearson reached Pakistan to improve English language proficiency

ISLAMABAD, (29 November 2021) Pearson has reached out to Pakistan to improve the English language proficiency of those aspiring to get an education or job in an English country. Pearson has highlighted the importance of English language proficiency tests to study abroad or even to migrate to other countries.
The English language proficiency tests are for aspirants looking to work or study in a foreign country, but whose primary language isn’t English, said Premila Paulraj, Director of Employability & Qualifications, South Asia at Pearson. These tests are aimed at determining the language proficiency of aspirants and ensuring that they have the necessary skills to understand academic/ scholarly writing and communicate effectively with their supervisor, she added.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the education landscape completely and learners were confined to online learning in the new normal. With travel restrictions and stringent checks and balances to movement, PTE is ensuring that the talent across finds appropriate opportunities to learn and work. Beginning 16th November 2021, the duration of the PTE test will be reduced by an hour making it just a 2-hour test, whilst the accuracy of the test remains the same.
Waqar Shah, Deputy General Manager, Pearson Pakistan said that, PTE Academic Online has been launched aimed to play a key role in almost all professional environments. The same test as PTE Academic will now be offered as a new online proctored option for people who prefer to take the test remotely. Pearson is continuously working towards wider acceptance of this online version of PTE. The duration of PTE test has been reduced to 2-hours, New “PTE Academic Online” for people to take the test remotely and ideal combination of AI and human input to deliver a best-in-class secure remote proctoring solution.
