Punjab gas supply timings announced for Ramadan as Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) confirmed a new schedule for consumers in Lahore and other cities of Punjab ahead of the holy month.
According to the company, gas will be provided daily from 3:00am until 10:30pm throughout Ramadan. This arrangement aims to help households manage cooking needs during Sehri, Iftar, and regular meal times.
An SNGPL spokesperson said the revised plan has been designed to ensure better availability for domestic consumers. The company expects the schedule to reduce problems faced by residents during important hours of the day.
The official also advised consumers who experience low gas pressure to report the issue immediately. Complaints can be registered through the SNGPL helpline at 1199, where staff will assist customers and address their concerns.
SNGPL Managing Director Amir Tufail said the company has no plan to restrict supply only to peak cooking hours. Instead, the goal is to maintain continuous supply during the announced period each day.
He said the gas utility is making efforts to ensure smooth distribution during Ramadan, when demand increases due to higher cooking needs. The company has arranged its system to handle the expected load and minimize disruptions.
The Punjab gas supply timings announced for Ramadan come as part of routine planning by the gas provider to manage demand during the holy month. Ramadan usually brings a sharp rise in domestic gas use, especially during early morning and evening hours.
Residents across Lahore and other Punjab areas are expected to benefit from the extended availability. The schedule provides long hours of supply, which may help families prepare meals without major interruptions.
SNGPL has urged consumers to use gas responsibly and report problems quickly so timely action can be taken. The company said it remains committed to providing reliable service during Ramadan.
