RIUJ demands immediate release of journalist “Ahsan Wahid” associated with Ausaf Digital

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested journalists during the coverage of Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI) Azadi March while a reporter “Ahsan Wahid” associated with “Ausaf Digital” has also been arrested on Tuesday.

According to the details, Islamabad police have tried to stop journalists from the coverage PTI Azadi March. Islamabad Kohsar Police Station has arrested journalists during the coverage, while police arrested a reporter of Ausaf Digital named Ahsan Wahid.

The Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) president Abid Abbasi and other journalist’s organization representatives have condemned the arrest of journalists during their coverage. They expressed reservation over the government strategy against the journalists.

RIUJ and Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists have demanded the immediate release of Ausaf reporter named Ahsan Wahid.
