US President Donald Trump has openly advised countries, including the United Kingdom, to take matters into their own hands regarding oil access through the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on his social media platform Truth, Trump suggested that nations struggling to obtain jet fuel due to disruptions in the Strait should “be brave and go get it themselves.”
He added two recommendations: “First, buy from the US, we have plenty. Second, show courage, go to the Strait of Hormuz, and take it yourself.”
Trump warned that countries need to start learning to secure their resources independently. “The US will not always be there to help, just as you were not there for us,” he wrote.
He emphasized that Iran is already heavily impacted and that the region’s challenges are significant. “Go and get your own oil,” Trump concluded.
Experts say such statements highlight growing international tensions over strategic oil routes and could affect global fuel markets.
