Trump says Iranian government may fall soon despite claims that Russia is offering limited support to Tehran.

Former US president Donald Trump shared these remarks during an interview with Fox News Radio. He was asked whether Russian President Vladimir Putin is helping Iran during the current tensions.

Trump replied that Russia might be giving some support to Iran. He added that Moscow likely believes the United States is supporting Ukraine, so both sides are helping their allies.

He said the situation is straightforward. According to him, if one side supports its partners, the other side will also do the same.

Last week, CNN reported that Russia may be sharing intelligence with Iran. The report said Moscow could be providing information about movements of US military ships and aircraft.

Several American intelligence sources reportedly confirmed the claim. However, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth later said Russia and China are not major factors in the ongoing conflict with Iran.

Trump also claimed that the Iranian government could eventually collapse. But he said such a change would not happen immediately.

He expressed confidence that the Iranian people themselves could replace the current leadership in the future.

Despite recent US and Israeli strikes, there have been no signs of large nationwide protests in Iran so far. There are also no reports of major resignations within Iranian state institutions.
