UAE missile debris kills fourth Pakistani in Abu Dhabi after falling debris from an intercepted missile caused another tragic death on Thursday. The incident took place in the Sweihan Street area, according to local authorities.
Officials confirmed that two people lost their lives in the latest incident. One was a Pakistani national, while the other was an Indian citizen. Three more people were injured, including individuals from the UAE, Jordan, and India.
This marks the fourth case where a Pakistani has died due to missile debris in the UAE in recent weeks. Earlier incidents were reported on February 28, March 8, and March 17 in different areas including Al Barsha and Bani Yas.
The situation is linked to the wider regional conflict that began on February 28. At that time, the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran. Since then, missile and drone activity has increased across the region.
Authorities in Abu Dhabi said the falling debris came from a ballistic missile intercepted over the city. The media office urged people to rely only on official updates and avoid spreading unverified news.
The Pakistan Embassy in the UAE expressed deep sorrow over the death. It said it is working closely with local authorities to support the family and arrange the return of the body.
Earlier this month, other Pakistanis were also affected by similar incidents. On March 6, several people were injured due to drone debris, while on March 7, a fisherman from Gwadar died in Iranian waters after missile fragments hit his boat.
The rising conflict has increased risks for expatriate workers, especially large Pakistani communities living in Gulf countries.
