10 people killed in separate house fire, roof collapse incidents in KP

MARDAN: At least five members of the same family including women and children lost their lives in a house fire in the Rustam Bagh Jibran area of Mardan on Saturday morning.

Upon receiving the information, the firefighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze. Before the rescue team arrived, neighbors attempted to extinguish the fire on their own.

As per initial reports, rescue officials 1122 said that the house, built on a mountain, served as an accommodation for the devotees of a nearby shrine, a private news channel reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The bodies were later transferred to Rustam Type D Hospital, but the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

In a separate incident, five family members lost their lives after a house roof collapsed due to strong winds in the Tarangzai area of Charsadda.

Residents managed to retrieve the bodies of Sajid, his wife, and their three children 8-year-old Mosa, 7-year-old Hanifa, and 8-month-old Duanoor, and shifted them to the hospital.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Ali Amin Gandapur has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad incident and directed the authorities to provide relief to affected family.
