RAWALPINDI: At least 22 terrorists were killed and six soldiers were martyred in three security operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), here on Saturday.
According to the ISPR, nine militants were killed and six injured in an intelligence-based operation in Gul Imam area of Tank district.
In another operation in the North Waziristan district, security forces successfully neutralized 10 militants.
The third encounter was witnessed in Thal district in which security forces foiled an attempt to attack a security check post, killing three terrorists.
However, six soldiers were martyred in the fierce exchange of fire.
Clean-up efforts are ongoing in these areas to eliminate the remaining militants.
