LAHORE: After the strike call given by the Petroleum Dealers Association, there is a possibility that the supply of petrol in Lahore may be partially affected.

According to the association’s announcement, 375 petrol pumps across the city will suspend their activities due to the strike, which may cause difficulties for citizens in obtaining fuel.

Lahore Petroleum Dealers Association President Jahanzeb Malik said that all petrol pumps affiliated with the association will remain closed during the implementation of the strike decision, however, about 150 petrol pumps directly operated by oil marketing companies will remain open as usual, where citizens will be able to obtain petrol and diesel.

He said that the aim of the strike is to draw the attention of the government and relevant institutions to the problems faced by dealers.

On the other hand, to avoid unnecessary trouble, citizens have been advised to only go to open petrol pumps to get fuel and not to listen to rumors.

Meanwhile, the concerned authorities have started keeping a close eye on the situation so that the fuel supply system in the city remains intact and any potential crisis can be dealt with in a timely manner.

According to the authorities, the availability of petrol pumps managed by oil marketing companies reduces the risk of complete fuel shortage in the city.

Experts say that if the strike lasts longer, it may have an impact on transport, commercial activities and daily travel.

Citizens have also demanded that the government and petroleum dealers find a solution to the problem as soon as possible through mutual negotiations so that the public does not have to face further difficulties.
