4 dead in horrific accident on Makran Coastal Highway near Lasbela

LASBELA: In a horrific accident, at least four individuals were killed and four others were injured when a truck and a car collided on the Makran coastal highway near Lasbela on Wednesday, according to rescue officials.

The accident occurred early morning on Sapat cross of the highways, said the rsuce official Haji Khan.

Early investigation shows that the accident occurred when the car driver fell asleep while driving, resulting in the collision of the car with the Truck.

The rescue teams from Phol, Lyari, and Rasmal stations arrived on the spot within five minutes, said khan while adding that the accident occurred 03: 20 am in the morning.

The necessary medical care was provided to those injured in the accident and shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Uthal, he added.

“The rescue operation has been completed,” Khan Concluded.

The deceased were identified as Shaukat, Sudhir Ahmed, Waheedur Rehman, and Ziaur Rehman. The injured were identified as Ziarat Khan, Hamza, Suleman, and Ehsanullah.

Meanwhile, 1,831 road accidents were reported in the province in January 2025, resulting in 39 fatalities and injuries to 2,409 individuals. According to a recent report by the Medical Emergency Response Centre 1122.
