7 family members injured in Rawalpindi blast

RAWALPINDI: Seven members of a single family have been injured in a gas leakage explosion at a residence within the Range Road locality of Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Reports indicated that the rescue 1122 was in the vicinity and arrived at the site instantaneously and took the fire under their control.

The explosion was caused by a leakage of gas leak in the house, as per the rescue sources. It is not explicitly known whether it was a cylinder explosion or some other leakage of gas.

Seven individuals comprising four children, two women, and one male, were injured. The injured have been transferred to the hospital after first aid was administered to them.

Police initiated an investigation into the explosion.
