RAWALPINDI: At least eight Khwarij were killed in two separate engagements between terrorists and security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
According to the military’s media wing, troops conducted an intelligence-based operation in Tank District on January 12-13 on the reported presence of Khwarij.
During the conduct of the operation, according to the ISPR, military personnel effectively engaged the Khwarij location, and resultantly six terrorists of TTP were killed.
Furthermore, in another encounter in the general area of Tirah Valley, two Khwarij were eliminated.
“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the press release said.
