According to the army’s media wing, the four-day operation involved skillful maneuvering and several intense firefights, resulting in the elimination of nine Indian-backed militants and the arrest of eight others.
Two hideouts of the terrorists were also destroyed, and a large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered.
The locals of the area welcomed the operation and expressed their full support for the state’s counter-terrorism efforts.
A sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the complete elimination of the remaining elements of the group.
The security forces and law enforcement agencies, in solidarity with the people of Pakistan, are committed to eliminating the threat of Indian-sponsored terrorism and restoring lasting peace in the region.
