Aid convoy heading to Kurram comes under attack

KURRAM: A third convoy of vehicles carrying aid to Parachinar was attacked in the Bagan area in Lower Kurram on Thursday, officials confirmed.

The police said that a rocket was fired at the convoy comprising 35 vehicles carrying food and medical supplies. The convoy was on its way to Parachinar when it came under fire.

The security forces, accompanying the convoy, retaliated against the gunmen, who opened fire on a convoy from both sides of the road.

As per reports, one vehicle in the convoy was damaged by the rocket strike, while there have been no reports of any casualties from the incident so far.

Hangu Assistant Commissioner Saeed Mannan told the media that the administration is working to bring the situation under control after the attack in Bagan.
