AJK election commission denies reports af including Qadiani voters

MUZAFFARABAD: In a recent development, the Azad Kashmir Election Commission denied rumors spread on social media about Qadiani voters.

Spokesperson of the Election Commission stated that the impression of deliberately including Qadiani voters in the general electoral rolls is baseless.

In light of the Supreme Court decision and the Assembly resolution, letters were sent to the Law Department three times: the Election Commission.

The required legislation has not been implemented yet, the Election Commission stated.

The spokesperson further stated that immediate steps will be taken regarding separate voter lists as soon as the legislation is completed.
