MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has taken a major step against the banned Joint Public Action Committee (JAAC) by announcing a reward of Rs 10 million for information leading to the arrest of four wanted individuals associated with the organization.

According to an official notification issued by the Home Department after approval from the President of Azad Kashmir, the reward applies to information resulting in the arrest of Shaukat Nawaz Mir, Omar Nazir Kashmiri, Khawaja Mehran Arshad, and Sardar Aman Khan.

The notification states that the identity of any individual providing information will be kept strictly confidential. Authorities have assured that the announced reward will be paid to anyone whose information proves helpful in the apprehension of the wanted persons.

The Home Department has directed law enforcement agencies to initiate immediate legal action and intensify efforts to arrest the suspects. Officials said the reward has been fixed under the provisions of the Police Rules, 1934.

Sources indicated that the government has decided to further strengthen its crackdown against banned organizations and wanted elements. Special instructions have been issued to security agencies to accelerate operations aimed at maintaining law and order across Azad Kashmir.

Officials reaffirmed that security operations will continue and that a zero-tolerance policy remains in force against individuals associated with banned organizations.
