RAWALPINDI: The court indicted 10 accused, including PTI founder Aleema Khan’s sister, in the November 26 protest case.

The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case registered at Sadiqabad Police Station on November 26 protest. During the hearing of the case, the prosecution presented arguments on the petition filed by Aleema Khan. 10 accused, including Aleema Khan, who was named in the case, were indicted.

It should be noted that Aleema Khan had challenged the jurisdiction of the court today under Section 23 of the Anti-Terrorism Act. The court, while accepting the petition for hearing, cancelled Aleema Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant.

The position taken in the petition was that Aleema Khan is not accused of protesting but of conveying Imran Khan’s message. The Constitution allows everyone to speak. Section 7 of ATA of terrorism does not apply to conveying a message and if conveying a message is terrorism, then the media also conveyed the message.
