ISLAMABAD: Shalimar Recording & Broadcasting Company Limited (SRBC), the operator of the ATV channel that falls under the Pakistan government’s purview, has formally declared that the services of all its employees have been terminated due to court-supervised liquidation proceedings as ordered by the Islamabad High Court.
An office order, issued on 24 November 2025, said the liquidation orders require that all categories of personnel must be released by the close of business on 30 November 2025.
It applies to the regular, contractual, deputed, temporary, daily-wage, broadcast resource persons, and those holding officiating/additional charges and presently on leave.
The order asks all outgoing employees to provide a written work-status and task-completion report, with the handing over of official files, documents, passwords, assets, media storage devices, and other operational materials by 28 November.
Functional handovers have been assigned to designated focal persons across administrative, finance, engineering, technical, and station management roles.
Employees are also required to submit the clearance acknowledgments, bank details, CNIC copies, and updated contact information to the Administration Office.
The document further states that all the financial dues, including gratuity (where applicable), leave encashment, pending salary differences, and other claims, will be calculated as per SRBC service rules and applicable laws. Payments will be made to the extent of the availability of liquidation funds in accordance with priorities approved by the Islamabad High Court.
The notice underlined that the stand-down of services solely represents a court-mandated liquidation requirement and does not amount to disciplinary action or punitive termination.
The order has been signed by Muhammad Atif Saeed on behalf of Khilji Rahat Waheed, Chartered Accountants, acting as the Official Liquidators of SRBC.
Copies of the directive have been circulated to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, PTVC, PBC, PNCA, and SRBC’s notice board.
