QUETTA: A convoy of Arab sheikhs hunting in Kech district of Balochistan was targeted, killing two security personnel and injuring four.
According to local Levies sources, the incident took place near Dasht-e-Khadan Zarrin Buk, an area between Gwadar and Turbat, when the sheikhs were returning to their camp after hunting.
While all the Arab sheikhs escaped unharmed, two security personnel guarding the party were killed and four others were injured. The injured were immediately shifted to Turbat for medical treatment.
Levies sources further said that Arab sheikhs often visit different areas of Balochistan for short hunting trips, especially for hunting catfish, before returning to their native countries.
The motive behind the attack is not clear and investigations are underway.
