ISLAMABAD: Another Pakistan Army personnel was martyred while seven Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed in a fierce exchange of fire in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to an ISPR statement issued on Thursday, on October 8, 2025, security forces personnel conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Daraban in Dera Ismail Khan district on information about the presence of Khawarij belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna-ul-Khawarij.

During the operation, seven Indian-sponsored Khawarij terrorists were killed due to the effective engagement of their troops.

However, during the fierce exchange of fire, Major Sibtain Haider (Age: 30 years, Resident District Quetta), a brave officer who was leading his troops from the front, fought bravely, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom.

Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the slain Khawarij, who was involved in several acts of terrorism against security forces and law enforcement agencies as well as killing innocent civilians.

A sanitization operation was being conducted to eliminate any Indian-sponsored foreigner found in the area, as Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country and such sacrifices by our brave sons further strengthen our resolve.

A day earlier, 11 Pakistani army personnel, including a Lieutenant Colonel and a Major, were martyred in a fierce gunfight in Orakzai district and 19 Indian-backed terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation.
